Milan Fashion Week Beauty Recap IV

Bangs and headbands are still strong on the runways, but unfortunately so is gel overkill…Here’s a look at some of the latest memorable beauty looks taking to the Milan catwalks.

Emilio Pucci: The Germanic-influenced hair-as-headband look continues here. I’m actually finding this style surprsingly chic. Here braided extensions were used that matched the models’ natural hair color and then they were wrapped behind the ears and looped over the head parallel to the hairline.

CNC Costume National: Eech. I have a feeling if I didn’t wash my hair for a few weeks, this is what it would look like!

Sportmax: I like that they went for something approachable for the hair here, especially given that among the inspiration points this season were martial arts and ski gear, but I do wish it was just a little bit more polished.

Marni: Bangs are definitely having a moment. We just saw them at Versace and Calvin Klein (both Rooney Mara-esque), and now Paul Hanlon fashioned some fantastic ones here. He created custom hair pieces for the models, which paired beautifully with the architectural eye (love the white!).

Dolce & Gabbana: I’m dying…DYING…for one of these bejeweled head pieces.
