Givenchy Tricolor Scuba Obsedia Messenger: Get It While It’s Hot

Here it is: the messenger to put all other messengers to shame. And the fact that it’s on sale – this is like a fantasy purchase. The sought-after Givenchy Obsedia, known for its enduring downtown-chic vibe, is just not the sort of bag you get lucky enough to score on markdown. Especially in this uniquely roomy size. Thank you, Barneys!

The signature ringed and ridged hardware, a captivating mix of femme delicacy and hardcore edge, punctuates the bag’s softly squared-off shape. In three easy tones (nude, black, and chestnut is neutral colorblocking that won’t get tired) of supple leather, it all adds up to a practical daily bag that is anything but routine. I’m obsessed with the Obsedia; the thrill of the hunt just got electrifying! At Barneys New York for $1,249 (from $2,085).

Pair with: Stock up on another irresistible staple. At half-off, Burberry’s ankle boots are a little bit classic rock ‘n’ roll, a whole lot basic black, and a total must-buy. On Net-a-Porter for $347.50 (from $695).

  1. Hello Snobs,
Random question for you: how do you store your fab bags? Dustbags or no? I’ve been using dustbags, but I miss seeing all the lovely bags. I heard that clear plastic boxes are very bad for the leather. What do you say?
    XOXO

    1. Dustbag is best even though I agree with you that it is hidden from sight. Do not store in plastic boxes because the bag can’t breath and will mold!!

  2. I was in NYC last week, and picked this bag up so many times, sales clerks were following me around, and not in a good way. I am sooo glad now I didn’t buy it, because I will now!

  3. I called the Barney’s here in Chicago, and gave them first crack at selling it to me. I thought even if was sold out online, the store may have it. The woman, was very nice, but did I have the item number, etc, and I explained no, I was on my phone, driving, and I knew the name etc, but not the number. She told me if I got the item number, she would do a search and see if she could find it. Since when did it become my responsibility to do their job? Since I was unable to look anything up, and she could have, and had a easy phone sale. Click, called Bergdorf’s, and the nice man grabbed it off of the floor, it was on sale, unlike last week when I was coveting it, he looked up my Neiman’s number for me, and bam, I have a new bag in three easy minutes.
