Alessandro Dari Santa Croce Ring: Architectural Digest

Alessandro Dari Santa Croce Ring

I’m just wrapping up a trip in Florence for the Luisa via Roma Firenze 4ever event. I’m sad to be saying ciao to such breathtaking art and architecture (and delicious food!), but the good news is that I can take a little of Italy home with me thanks to Alessandro Dari’s Florentine-inspired designs. The goldsmith is also a sculptor, so his appreciation for local, historical architecture comes as no surprise. His Santa Croce ring is modeled after the basilica of the same name, and while it’s hard to recreate the magnificence of such a huge and famous site (it’s the final resting place of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli to name a few), what Alessandro’s ring lacks in size, it makes up for with more than 50 diamonds and two sizable pear-shaped sapphires. And like the site itself, this jewel is one of a kind. Who wouldn’t want her own gold Italian cathedral?? On Luisa via Roma for $24,677.
