Black and White Shoes: Monochrome Madness

Black and White Shoes

I’m getting ready for the Luisa Via Roma Firenze 4 Ever Style Lab in January. There’s a ‘90s-themed black and white party at the end of all the festivities that weekend, and although I have my outfit worked out, I still need shoes. Decisions, decisions – if only the choice was black and white. I was obsessed with a black and white striped Claude Montana sweater, but he’s more 80’s – now I’m just dating myself, though. Which should I wear?

Rochas 150MM Dots Canvas Pumps: I kind of wish these were in pony hair, but I guess they already have a lot going on. The thick heel and platform exaggerate the polka dot pattern even more. On Luisa via Roma for $762.

Sophia Webster Yayoi Patent and Leather Sandals: I think these would get the most attention, plus they have a backstory – they’re inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s spot paintings! On Net-a-Porter for $635.

Roger Vivier 120MM Prismick Calfskin & Suede Sandals: The shoe feels more ‘50s than ’90s, but the prism design is a nice graphic update and the mix of suede gives a sensuous contrast. Pre-order on Luisa via Roma for $1,156.

Sergio Rossi 130MM Optikala Patent Leather Sandals: This black and white edging is flirting with me. With the ‘90s theme, I feel like I should go with these Rossis. Pre-order on Luisa via Roma for $832.

Saint Laurent Paris 140MM Tribute Two Patent Leather Pumps: I love that the black cap toe extends over the white. The chic simplicity of these YSLs will be the most useful to me after the event. Pre-order on Luisa via Roma for $795.
