Paris Fashion Week Beauty Round Up IV

Valentino: My hair is longer than it has been in years and this look has me on the hunt for the perfect headband. The shiny hair and clean braid (modeled after Rapunzel and created by Guido), were the perfect complement to Valentino’s youthful, Victorian-dinged collection this season. Ditto for the makeup, conceived by Pat McGrath, who told Beauty Snob Tina that she used blush on both cheeks and lips for that Victorian wash.

Stella McCartney: What I thought was interesting about this understated look is that the models’ had black mascara on their top lashes and brown on their bottom ones – such a smart way to make your eyes pop without going heavy on your makeup.

Chanel: Nothing like platinum-colored confetti glitter glued to your lashes and lids! I wonder how many lashes these poor girls lost in the process… More wearable were the coordinating blushes and lipsticks used, which will be launching this summer.

Alexander McQueen: Sarah Burton’s 10-piece collection was nothing if not museum-worthy this season and that extended to the elaborate headpieces (head cages!?) created for the show.

  1. Those lashes with the glitter look amazing! I don’t know if that would translate well in real life though! But I do love the natural looking lip and cheek colors!
