Celeb Trend: White Lace Dresses

Celeb Trend

If spring is a rebirth, then really we should be wearing a lot of white. The clean, fresh look evokes the start of something new. That’s why wedding dresses are pure, chaste white. But in lace, things can go one of two ways – sweet or sexy. See how these celebs took the trend… First up is AnnaSophia Robb. At the opening of Cinderella on Broadway, mini Miss Carrie Bradshaw looked like a princess herself in a lacy, feathered Alice & Olivia (on NET-A-PORTER for $997). She may have passed on the glass slippers (for you know, practical reasons), but her silver Stuart Weitzman Naughty pumps (on Piperlime for $335) paid homage in a very modern way.

At Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ashley Tisdale took soft, demure white and gave it a sexy reboot courtesy of designer Philip Armstrong. If only the dress didn’t have those crystal embellished shoulder pads…

Garcelle Beauvais paired her PD London sheath with some similarly patterned Sergio Rossi caged ankle boots (available in black at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,020).

It’s nice to see Megan Fox in white, even if it is a sheer, body hugging L’Agence (on Shopbop for $357). Motherhood has softened her as much as it can.

Whether you love her or hate her, Taylor Swift is kind of America’s sweetheart. So seeing her in angelic lace like this long-sleeved Maria Lucia Hohan dress (on Maria Lucia Hohan for $1,299) only makes sense.
