Moreau Brégançon Tote: French Class

Moreau_Brégançon_Tote
Maison Moreau has been perched on Paris’ coveted Rue Saint-Honoré for well over a hundred years, where they make high-luxury trunks and leather accessories. The storied brand’s most noteworthy collection is the Brégançon. This tote was originally made in honor of one of their most esteemed clients, Robert Bellanger of the Bellanger Frères auto company (he was also the last private occupant of Fort Brégançon).

It’s not just the hand-sewn craftsmanship (with waxed thread) that creates allure, or the extraordinary details – even the stitching on the strap is their signature M, aka “blue king,” emblem. It’s also the fun and functional design. The interior comes in a gorgeous shade of blue, which makes for a nice pop of color each time you reach in your bag. But why stop there when you can make a bag that’s reversible? When you fear the white getting dirty, just flip it inside-out for a new blue tote. To top it off, it comes with a pouch that is inspired by their wicker trunks. The logo, inspired by wicker weaves, is partially hand-embossed in France, for total authenticity.

At Barneys New York for $2,890.

Pair with: Stride a white tote into fall with an on-trend pair of oxfords. Givenchy gets it right by keeping theirs simple.

On My Theresa for $980.
