DVF Spring 2014 Collection: Easy-to-Wear

DVF Spring 2014 Collection

Anytime a show is called “Oasis,” expectations are going to be high, but of course DVF had no trouble delivering. From flowing maxi dresses to jean skirts to shift dresses, her Spring 2014 collection was relaxed, yet flattering. What more would you expect from the woman who gave us the wrap dress? This time it was all about the jumpsuits, though. Snobs who fear getting swallowed up in the design are now breathing a sigh of relief. From sleek, full-length jumpsuits to loose fitting shorts versions (perfect for a beach oasis), there was a style for everyone.

For the dress devotees, she played with a few different themes. The first was nautical, which sailed onto the runway with playful silk rope details that functioned as everything from shoulder straps to corseting. Then there were the prints. While the tribal-inspired pieces impressed like the dress Naomi Campbell walked out in as the closer (and yes, she still struts like no other), it was the ingenious cork print that won my heart. I’m getting those shorts ASAP! In fact, I kind of want the whole collection. Which was your favorite look?
