Marni rarely, if ever, disappoints, and this latest offering only deepens my love of Consuelo Castiglioni’s subtly offbeat aesthetic. These ginormous dots are so adorable, especially on an ultra-ladylike frame bag. Colorful dots might have been too youthful and girly, yet in black and the lightest of pale pinks, they’re sophisticated fun. It also helps to have just one full circle, and others cut off along the edges, creating a more abstract, less overt take on polka dots. This is for the Snob who wants to show that she’s whimsical and young at heart, while still refined and very much grown up.
