NYFW Beauty Recap: Day Five

Thakoon: Hair was inspired by the idea of “gym chic,” meaning it was worn down and looked slightly wet and the makeup featured a reverse cat eye. Fittingly lots of dry shampoo was used!

DKNY: Taking a cue from Marc Jacobs circa Fall 2009 where NARS and Guido worked to create one-of-a-kind hair and makeup looks for each of the models, at this season’s DKNY show, all of the looks were personalized to celebrate the many facets of NYC culture and subculture (Donna Karan also opted to use a mix of models and “real women”).

Derek Lam: A serious raccoon eye at Derek Lam! Thankfully skin was kept clean and hair was neatly pulled back out of the models face. Still this is not a look that anyone should try at home…

Victoria Beckham: Everything about Victoria Beckham is perfection (as I witnessed firsthand when she came to Barry’s Bootcamp the morning after her show…). The designer opted for a clean, muted face and pulled back hair to keep the focus on her beautiful collection (anyone else dying to wear one of the goddess gowns she showed this season??).
