The day is finally here. We are launching our very own bag collection, today! Saying it’s a dream come true sounds like such a cliché but at this very moment on this day, everything is hitting me at once. Tina and I started Bag Snob 9 years ago but it really started the minute we met. Our chemistry was immediate and although we felt we were living out the purpose of our friendship with shopping, eating and commiserating over boys, this is what we were really meant to achieve. Every step of the way has been gradual, natural and organic so it never felt like what we were doing was so extraordinary. But today, we are feeling the full sense of that. This collection was created with the same passion and love that created this blog. But thanks to the countless bags we have reviewed (it has been estimated at 30,000, not all made it to print) we also acquired the unique knowledge of not only what a bag should look like but how it should function.
The concept of essentials is that it covers all lifestyles and the various occasions in a woman’s life. Our 24-Hour Tote is the most functional tote you will ever use, it has 4 outer pockets and 3 more interior pockets as well as a removable pouch. The Runaway Backpack may feel like a novelty fashion item but take it on vacation or shopping at a sale and you will fall in love with backpacks all over again. It has 2 secret pockets! We believe that having fun is an absolute essential, and our Jewel Box is all about that. It fits an iPhone or Galaxy, a couple of cards and a lipgloss, which is all you need for an evening out. The City Daily is for the pragmatist in all of us, some days you just want ease, the strap can extend to crossbody for ultimate comfort. The Treasure is something most of us lack, the special bag for weddings, luncheons, bridal showers, formal events. This is a classic and we wanted it to have a vintage feel.
The Wallet-on-a-Chain is the most absolute essential – it has all the features you need in a wallet but it comes with 2 chains, a wristlet and a crossbody. Wear it alone, in your bag, or Tina has been dangling the crossbody chain out of her backpack as an accessory for her accessory – makes complete sense for someone who is all about accessories. We also have an Embroidered Clutch (not pictured) for instant day to night wear. It has a shoulder strap that transforms the bag into a shoulder for day and a roomy interior so you don’t have to worry about ditching your things when you wear it out at night.
