Chloé Drew Crossbody Bag: The Luck of the Drew

Chloé Drew Crossbody Bag

I’m going to say it: the Drew collection is the best thing to come out of Chloé in quite some time. From my initial impression of the classical black style topped with gold hardware to a preppy variation in deep green suede and tan leather and now on to this supremely sportier yet thoroughly sophisticated update, the Drew is maintaining solid momentum.

This makes for a great twist on the traditional saddle bag, and it evokes the same sense of ease with the injection of a bold, wide strap, which wisely tapers in at the shoulder for the ultimate in carry-all-day comfort. You know by now that the chain-topped dual zipper detail is the signature of the Drew, and here it is mainly decorative (which makes everything easier) but definitely needed to provide a sense of character. A basic flap opening gives way to a very roomy interior.

Speaking of roomy, it’s on the larger side, so this bag might prove awkward for smaller girls, especially with the addition of that broad, hefty-looking strap. I wish the entire bag was a tad scaled down, which would make it cuter and more versatile overall. Chloé Drew on MATCHESFASHION.com for $2,179.

Pair with: Keep your look laid back yet luxe with a new pair of leather leggings. MIH Jeans’ stretch-leather pants come in a buttery shade of toffee that will go with everything you own come fall. On NET-A-PORTER for $990.
