Frugal Snob Friday: GapFit

Gap-main_2790347a

I’m not exactly sure when Gap launched their sportswear collection, GapFit, but it’s awesome. Not only are the prices lower than competitors like Lulu and Nike, but the fabrications are just as solid in terms of quality, they wash well, and they have a bunch of neutral prints and colors as well as brighter designs if that’s your thing. As anyone who works out a lot knows, you need a lot of clothes! We all want to look good at the gym, it really is key to having a good workout, but it can cost a fortune. I will say I love my Lulu, Nike, and a bunch of the new up-and-coming activewear brands like Alala, but when you’re going through a half dozen pants, tops, and sports bras a week and not doing your laundry that often you don’t always want to shell out a semi fortune when buying gym apparel. Gap offers a solution without compromise and every piece I’ve tried is as functional (sweat-wicking, easy to move in, doesn’t start to smell when you sweat), as it is fashionable (which for me means neutral and streamlined; I’m not one to workout in rainbow butterfly print tights). Now if I could only find out where I can get those awesome sneakers in their ad campaign…
