J.W.Anderson Moon Leather Tote: Promise Me the Moon

JWAnderson_Bag_Tote

From the half-moon cutout handle to the lean, triangular lines, J.W.Anderson’s Moon tote – and its audaciously architectural shape – is striking and brilliant. It brings to mind Loewe’s Triangle style, which I fell for last month, and no coincidence there. Anderson is their new creative director. But this bag goes to show the designer is not neglecting his eponymous line, not even close. Think of this as the Triangle’s fun, fresh little sister.

Deceptively complex, if you examine the side of the bag, it actually looks like a bridge or something. This is not like the cutout handles you’re used to seeing; the careful, well-conceived construction is what really makes this bag. Add bright yellow to the equation, and the result is jaw-dropping. But don’t let all the aesthetic intrigue fool you into thinking this piece is strictly novel. Coming complete with a shoulder-strap option, it really functions and it’s versatile, too. J.W.Anderson Moon leather tote on NET-A-PORTER for $1,420.

Pair with: A jacket that’s an equal mix of girly and tough, like Valentino’s butterfly-embroidered military jacket, will catapult you straight into spring. On MATCHESFASHION.com for $4,729.
