Michael Kors Rogers Large Textured-Leather Shoulder Bag: Rogers That

MichaelKors_Shoulder_Bag

With his original eponymous collection, Michael Kors continues to show he can still do elevated design, and make it look easy, while designing crowd favorites for his more affordable Kors diffusion line.

There’s something so timeless about the Rogers shoulder bag. Dare I say it almost has a Hermès quality to it? Perhaps it’s the mushroom-taupe color of the lightly pebbled leather, which is totally reminiscent of Hermès’ classic etoupe hue. It’s not just the color that has won me over here. I’m dying over the knotted strap detail that feeds through the slits (a bit evocative of Céline, now that I think about it). You might want to classify this as a hobo, thanks to the curved shape, but this has way more function. Keep your easy-access essentials in the separated front pouch that remains open, and put the rest in the main section, which features a snap-tab closure. Even though it’s spacious, this bag is quite flat, which I find more refined and feminine than your regular hobo. And than your regular day bag, for that matter. Michael Kors Rogers bag on NET-A-PORTER for $1,285.

Wear with: Speaking of feminine and refined, keep up the momentum with Gianvito Rossi’s pair of pink suede ankle boots. A girlish color gets contrasted with a cool mod style. On My Theresa for $950.
